The Bible tells us that the goal and purpose of every Christian is to be "conformed into the image of Christ." This transformation, however, only occurs as we learn to moment by moment "renew our minds."

What does this mean? Without this constant renewal, we will simply be conformed into the worlds image and our lives will remain the same as they always have been, no matter what we do to try to change them. Therefore, our efforts to change should not be focused on our wrong actions, but on our wrong thinking. Buried hurts and wounds definitely influence us, but they don't need to determine our choices. So much of our behaviors start with a thought. Thoughts of low self worth will eventually be reflected in our actions. This book gives guidelines on how to invite God into those tender emotions and let him clean us up. When you feel sad or depressed you can renew your mind and feel good about yourself. No matter what your situation or what you have been through, Our God is amazing and His faithful love endures forever.
