When my kid's eyes glossed over during a Bible reading, I explained redemption & was rewarded with blank stares. I awoke later that night with a medieval story enveloping my mind. I wrote it down & later read it to my children. Their attention transformed into complete anticipation. I was amazed & disappointed. Why did it take a story, not a Bible passage, to get that response? Then I realised that is how Jesus taught! Parables are powerful! - Chuck Black
